Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Harrigan Physiotherapy Clinic collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We have tried to keep it short and in plain English.
Who we are
Harrigan Physiotherapy Ltd, trading as Harrigan Physiotherapy Clinic, is the data controller for the information described in this policy. That means we decide how it is used and we are responsible for looking after it.

What this policy covers
This policy covers this website: the enquiry form, and anything you send us after finding us here. Once you become a patient, the information in your clinical records is handled separately, under the record-keeping and confidentiality obligations we have as chartered physiotherapists. You can ask us about that at any time.
Information we collect
When you send an enquiry
Our enquiry form asks for your name, phone number, email address, which clinic you are interested in, and a message telling us how we can help.
Health information
Please do not send us detailed medical information through this website. A short description of what is bothering you is all we need to get back to you and book the right appointment, and we will go through your full history in person at your first appointment. If your message does include health details, that is a special category of personal data under data protection law and we treat it with extra care.
When you contact us another way
If you phone, email or message us on WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram, we will have whatever details you share with us there.
Online booking
Our online booking is provided by Cliniko. When you book online, you give your details directly to Cliniko, which handles them on our behalf. You can read Cliniko’s privacy policy.
Technical information
Like most websites, our web server keeps short-lived logs, including IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested. These are used only to keep the site secure and working properly.
How we use your information and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange an appointment. We rely on the fact that you have asked us to do this, as a step before providing a service to you.
- To handle any health information you include. We rely on this being necessary for the provision of health care by registered health professionals.
- To keep the website secure. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
We do not use your information for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell it.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with companies that help us run the clinic and this website, and only as much as they need:
- Google: our email provider. Enquiries from the website arrive in our Google email account.
- Cliniko: our appointment booking and practice management system.
- Hetzner Online: hosts this website on servers in the EU.
- Irish Web Services: maintains this website and may have access to it to fix problems.
We may also share information where the law requires us to.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of our providers, such as Google, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they use legal safeguards approved by the European Commission, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep website enquiries only for as long as we need them. Once your enquiry has been dealt with and any appointment arranged, we delete it. There is no set period we are required to hold enquiries for.
If you go on to become a patient, the information you gave us becomes part of your patient record, which we keep for as long as our professional and legal obligations require.
Cookies
This website does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics or advertising tracking.
Our Locations, Contact and clinic pages show maps provided by Google Maps. When those maps load, Google may set cookies and collect information under Google’s privacy policy. Links to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Cliniko take you to those services, and their own policies apply there.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
- ask us to restrict or stop using your information in certain cases
- ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month. There is normally no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please talk to us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
